Holy Week in Rota: Processions and Local Heritage
The town of Rota is set to commemorate Semana Santa (Holy Week) from April 13 to April 20, 2025, featuring a series of processions that reflect its deep-rooted religious and cultural traditions. This year, six brotherhoods will organize nine processions throughout the week. A notable highlight is the return of the “El Resucitado” (The Resurrected) procession on Easter Sunday, which will depart from the Capilla de los Salesianos for the first time since 2000.
